Long Bio
Originally from Baltimore, Deadair Dennis Maler cut his comedy teeth on the absurd duality of living in Baltimore and working in Washington D.C. for two decades. He has since taken both his decades-spanning radio career and his stand-up comedy to Boston; where he finds the people there much nicer than they're given credit for (probably because he hasn’t been stabbed or robbed yet).
He has been featured in comedy festivals across the country including Comedy Underground Festival in Austin, TX during SXSW, Charm City Comedy Festival, North Carolina Comedy Festival, Boston Comedy Festival, Burbank Comedy Festival, Live Laughs Festival, Hell Yes Fest, & more.
He hosts the Big Comedy Network podcast So, What Do You Really Do? interviewing artists and entertainers about their day jobs and the YouTube show Word of the Day with Comedians, expanding vocabulary in the funniest way possible.
In 2015 he was recognized by the Mayor of Boston's Office of Arts and Culture as a Certified Working Artist.
Deadair Dennis has been heard on radio stations across the country including SiriusXM, DC101, The Party Playhouse with Jackson Blue, and more.
As a writer, he has been the comedy editor for DigBoston since 2017.
Smart, funny, loud, and abrasively social, Deadair Dennis is unique and deceptive; he is a human bulldog with a heart of gold. And allergy-free since 1981.
