To the Commonwealth!! Whatever that means.
I'm in Boston!! My last show in Baltimore went great!! Thanks so much everyone who came out, especially Libby, Ashley & Kelly, Evan, Chris & Ko, Chris from Blarney Stone, and a big thank you to the boys of Color Me Funny for putting together such a great show in Fed Hill. So not even five days in town I have already hit up one open mic. And as if there were any doubts I made the people laugh. However, with work getting started and trying to figure things out I am going to take a small break until March (hopefully) and get back out there testing some new material I've been wanting to work on, and some newer stuff I've been writing. I really just need to get things settled in here before I go out and start shaking things up trying to keep my comedy going. Really what I need to do is focus on the job that pays me, which is radio right now. A couple people have been asking me how the drive up to Boston went. To put it in only one word it... "went." I rented a uhaul truck and drove from Baltimore to Boston, with everything I owned, and my mother and sister drove with me. It's amazing the three of us aren't dead. And by dead I mean me killing the two of them and me on death row for murder. I love my mom and sister but god damn they can be annoying sometimes. I shouldn't be too mad at them, they did get me out of a ticket. As I was driving up 95 I had to take the George Washington Bridge in New York. Well apparently an eleven foot box truck should be driving on the top portion of the bridge, not the bottom. So of course after I come out of the tolls, a cop car pulls right out in front of me, so I do what an person who doesn't think the cops are coming after them, I swerve around him and continue on my path. Well turns out he was after me. As he's trying to pull me over on the bridge, which who stops on the bridge? Not me, he waves me to continue driving, so I do. Then he tries to come around in front of me, so I did, and of course he gives me a strange look and pulls back behind me. This continued for a while. Finally he gets on the bullhorn and yells at me to get off the bridge at the next exit. After we're pulled over off the bridge the officer walks up to the car and immediately my mother and sister start chirping away at the officer. "WILL YOU TWO BE QUIET!" is what I told theme. So every time I tried to explain to the officer I wasn't sure which was was top road for trucks and which was not my mother and sister would start chirping away again at the officer. In the end I think the reason I didn't get a ticket is because the cop felt bad for me, knowing I had another seven hours left of driving with these two, and that's punishment enough. With that said check out the video from my last comedy show in Baltimore at Delia Foley's in Fed Hill by clicking on the VIDEOS tab above. Thanks a bunch everyone and I'll be seeing you all soon. And by soon I mean probably never again.
